So... I caved.

And bought Star Wars: The Force Awakens on blu-ray. I was holding out for the 3D release but there's still no date for that and I could go without owning it any longer.

I'm sure when it does finally get released it'll have a bunch of extra deleted scenes and special features, maybe even a directors cut that'll force me to double dip. There was like 30 minutes cut from the movie and only a few minutes worth of deleted scenes on the disc so I really wouldn't be surprised if they were holding back for a future re-release.

I went to the pictures to see it and have had a full hd copy on my hard drive since a couple of weeks aftwr it was at the pictures.  That'll do me

Great movie even if it did borrow too heavily from the older ones.
